Notes & Combos

Basically the same deck as last month. I added Bahamut Shark as the 9th Extra Deck Monster, which enables a 1.5 card OTK with Diva and any Spell/Trap. Summon Bahamut Shark with the skill, detach to summon Anomalocaris, then summon Utopic Ray Lancer over Bahamut Shark so it can attack. This allows for 2500+2400=4900 damage on an open field, plus a pop with Infantry and multiple attack with Utopic Ray Lancer to clear the field up for the OTK. For how the rest of the deck works, check out my post from last month on my DLM profile.

Matchups:

Borrel Link: a really bad matchup, but going second against them is better because Levianeer is too strong and they may search Lancea, which does nothing to the deck. Still tough because they might set up Rapid Trigger into Furious Dragon going first, which is also really strong.

Lyrilusc: not the worst matchup actually, despite me not owning any Ice Dragon's Prison (too poor sadge). Magician >>> Diva. Going first, the draw engine leaves the field with no monsters, keeping their skill's last effect offline, making them weak to Canadia. Going second, Ensemblue Robin beats the Diva engine easily, while the draw engine gets advantage without triggering Robin. Utopic Ray Lancer carries hard in this matchup, and Fate is great too.

Star Seraph: biggest threat is Scepter under Deltaros, make sure this doesn't happen. This doesn't guarantee survival, but gives a fighting chance to eventually grind them out.

Fleur: going second against them is better because their possible turn 2 play of Sauge pop and Dingirsu send before they even commit to anything is too strong.

Sacred Beast: going first against them is definitely better. Biggest threat is Fallen Paradise, Olenoides doing heavy lifting. They usually waste their skill to summon Uria from deck which can be easily stopped. After that, just focus on stopping Chaos Summoning Beast and they won't be able to put another Sacred Beast on field.

Sky Striker: really rough matchup. Afterburners and Jamming Waves are too strong if they have 3 Spells in their GY, and none of this deck's disruptions stop them from easily amassing a huge amount of resources at a quick pace.

Time Thief: almost a true coinflip. It's practically impossible for this deck to beat their turn 1 board, but they're also unlikely to play through this deck's turn 1 backrow. If the duel drags on for multiple turns, they have a higher chance to time out, so don't give up even if they are at a winning position.
