Notes & Combos

Focus on reviewing the machina engine (the simple reason is because I also like them). Somewhat supports the stability of the deck. The weakness is that orcust eff will lock special summon (only dark machine). The strong point is that Machina supports strong discard, good spell search for hand adjustment, can set up an independent board if orcust combo is not possible, can search "harp horror" through "gear gigant x" 👍.

Regarding combos:

  • If you draw a good orcust card like "knightmare" or "horror" -> discard 1 orcust + sum 2 machina corpses to go on.
  • If you draw orcust "skeleton" (bad card) -> normal summon "skeleton" + special summon 2 machina monsters.
  • If you can't draw any orcust cards or "skeletons" only, use "machina redeployment" to search for 2 machinas so that there are 3 cards "gearframe" + "fortress" + "soldier" in your hand -> normal summon "soldier" -> special summon "gearframe" " -> xyz summon "gigant X" to search "horror", use "fortress" discard horror to jump onto the field and continue combo.
  • If you draw 1 "machina redeployment" + "horror" or "knightmare", the combo will be 1 board with 1 "dingirsu" + 1 citadel + 1 fortress. Then there is 1 time to sweep the field opp (destroy eff), consider destroying dingirsu to use skeleton eff to add 1 disruption.
  • Full combo: need 2 different orcust monsters + 1 "machina redeployment" -> get to the board with 1 link 3 (longirsu or decode talker) + 1 dingirsu + 1 citadel + 1 fortress.
  • *Some tips: keep in hand 1 monster that can normal summon after using orcust eff, or avoid discarding orcust immediately to bait disruption first. Depending on match-up to go to link 3 (going to link 3 will take more resources) or not, go to longirsu to add a disruption or go to decode talker to anti-target.
