Notes & Combos

I recently climbed up to King of Games fom Platinum using only this version of the Neos/Yubel deck. Always put Neos Kluger in defense mode if it is your first turn. Forbidden Chalice was actually good against many decks that had one strong monster or search-type monsters. Some things that I noticed while playing against other decks:

  • Blue Eyes: Situational match. Usually winnable, especially on the second turn start. Depends on the number of copies that the opponent has of Crackdown in his hand. Be careful about the Successor Soul if you have only one effect monster on the field.

  • Phantom Knights: Difficult match. I usually used D.D. Crow against Break Sword’s copy. If you're first, try to play using Neos and not Yubel, because she loses her abilities against Requiem and Arc Rebellion. Neos Kluger can still use his abilitie from GY to invoke Neos Wiseman, and this last one can't lose his abilities.

  • Yubel: Try to force him into using his Super Polymerization. It is usually a fight against bricks in hand. Remember that once he uses Neos Fusion, he can't use Super Polymerization in the same turn. Also, you can use his entire board against him with Super Polymerization.

  • Altergeist: Instant loss. Maybe Effect Veiler is useful against this deck type.

Didn't play against enough Performage, Shaddoll, or Sky Striker to have any advice to use against them.
