i dont want them to kill the pure variant, but rather at least make em much less splashable in every deck possible as engine and stop being overly dominant and spread everywhere like a plague, as annoying post Mekk Salads meta was, this issue started since the salads mekk era rised up, instead of giving us a break from it, they built on top of it with Orcust, like sure rise up the power level of the meta, but can we have decks that can compete with them with ease? something we didnt have since the shiranui invoked era, and BB Gandora meta as well, instead we have to tech specific cards and especially gets annoying in ranked or any 1v1 event where they can spread there

Because the average duel links player is bad at the TCG/OCG version of the game so when anything remotely close to a tier 1 deck drops in duel links you see a ton of crying till the current "problems" are gone just to start the cycle over.

Average players want caveman yugioh regardless of how impossible it is to maintain a game like that. Y'all literally had Cross Duel but didn't play it.

i think the hate is more justified that the deck is overplayed in ranked, basically all your face is Orcust leaving barely any room for anything, and people are sick of it, I don't think it's cuz of your reason, people dont like facing the exact same deck or engine 1000 times, regardless if they win or lose against them

its KINDA like the tearlements situation, people don't mind how strong it is on its own, its just its so strong its everywhere and leave no much variety in ranked or even tournaments, and we had more varied meta formats in the past in duel links and other yugioh formats and ones not so varied (looking at you, Onomatapia and Master of D shameful meta), this one? isn't very varied either cuz the majority will unga bunga pick Orcust and go with it cuz its the best deck, why play others options? at least that's how i see it, feel free to say im wrong about that, yes you can beat Orcust with a silly rouge deck, but if they go first its almost impossible to break their board unless you play lancea which not every deck can tech

idk about that, they always hit **** on the banlist that ends up letting people play older archetypes. the best example i can remember at the moment is how they hit neos fusion and other related cards because people were using exactly like they use orcust now, giving old decks that dont have enough of a turn one anymore a turn one. it's true that the best decks will often have mixed engines and this could be an outdated balance/banlist philosophy of theirs that they've moved on from in recent years and i didnt notice the shift because i took a break from the game for a bit, but it's always felt like they were trying to cycle out old cards out of playability to encourage people to dig for multiple new main box URs to play the pure version of the deck. this is why i think a lot of people are speculating mermaid is going to be banned

ive seen many variations of Orcust shoved as engine in different decks, there is no creativity, nothing new comes out of it, you still go through the same dead boring combos over and over, darklord exist there as a separate deck unrelated for barely connects to the orcust part besides using em as link material for your unga bunga galatia to Ding combo or interaction with Knightmare boost foolish effect, is it too hard to understand that or you guys like to be so entitled and blindly defend anything with orcust shoved in cuz "why not"?

You can literally say this for every deck though? Especially in meta, odd eyes try to get raging turn 2 and turn 1 end on vol and roach, speedroid turn 2 and 1 are pretty much the same. So it’s no different.
