Notes & Combos

This is my second KoG with Tenyi in a row; got it much earlier than I thought I would, since I've been playing at odd hours when I'm off work. I think I've really gotten the hang of this deck. There's not much to say since Tenyi has been strong for a long time now, but I'll do a write-up anyway.

I made just a few changes from last month's Tenyi deck. First up is Nahata. Seeing as the deck is Tier 1 rn, I was expecting a lot of the mirror match, but I didn't run into a single Tenyi deck from Legend 1-5. Not sure if Nahata would be better in Side Deck tournaments (or even to be playing at all). It never came up for me during the climb. This card will probably get replaced going forward.

The tech choice is 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device. I really liked this card. It helped in every matchup, especially going first against annoying decks like Live Twin, Constellar, and Yubel. I think it's the best tech choice on ladder, but there were a lot of matchups where I really missed having hand traps (primarily Crow and/or Veiler). I'll need to experiment with ratios.

I really love this deck. I know it's Tier 1, but it feels the most fair (and least obnoxious to play against) out of all the DLM-tiered decks. With Artifact Sanctum out, though, I'm not sure how good this deck will be going forward. There's a chance we'll see more Lancea in the new meta. We'll just have to see.
