Notes & Combos

Is anyone surprised by this deck anymore? I am honestly surprised I managed to hit KoG so quickly, considering the mirror match is complete dogsh*t to play against. The mirror is very stressful and, in my opinion, not at all skill-based.

My tech choices and deckbuilding philosophy are as follows:

• 3x Book of Moon: This card is extremely powerful in the current meta. There were Duels that I just auto-won because I opened 2 BoM.
• 2x Forbidden Lance, 2x IDP: These were incredible. Lance protects your plays while IDP is one of the best forms of disruption in Duel Links. I don't run 3 of either of these because of deck space (more on that later). You could consider dropping either of these for D.D. Crow, Droplet, or Chalice.
• 3x Nebula Dragon, 3x Galactic Spiral Dragon: I wanted to see at least 1 of these every game. Galactic Spiral is one of the best cards in the deck, allowing you to go for your Rank 8 plays. I experimented with 2 Nebula Dragon, but opening up with it felt way too good.
• 3 Schwarzchild, 1 Parsec: These were the "worse" cards that I wanted to see less often. Schwarzchild is decent because it helps against the mirror + random decks that play big monsters. Parsec never felt too great but I needed to play it to have 10 starters and stay at 20 cards.
• 2 Seyfert: I liked being able to return Seyfert to hand with the skill, then Seyfert search Seyfert for the follow-up. Shoutouts to Aloysius for the spice in his KoG deck description (yes I do read those).
• Giantrainer vs. Sanaphond: I experimented Extra Deck ratios for a while. I used Giantrainer between Legend 1-3. I liked being able to dig through my deck while plusing, even if Giantrainer griefed me completely and kept doing Yugi cosplay by drawing monsters ("DORO! MONSTA CARDO!" -_-). I eventually replaced Giantrainer with Sanaphond between Legend 4-5, but it never cane up. Sanaphond might be better, tbh. The more I climbed, the less I found myself making Giantrainer. I put Giantrainer on this decklist because I played most of my games with it.

This deck will probably be annihilated next format. I'll be sad to see it go, since I actually like this deck a lot. I just want the mirror to be less terrible to play. RIP in advance. If you read all of this, you are amazing. Good luck, Duelists!
