Introduction to Tindangle

This guide was written by

and aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the Tindangle archetype. You'll find its core mechanics, key cards, and the most effective strategies to unlock its full potential in duels.

Tindangle is a Flip/Link-based archetype that operates through the Isometric Inferno skill from the new character Akira Zaizen . This deck has incredible potential, allowing for a wide range of strategies. I will cover all of them throughout this guide.

Main Deck

Loading... is the only truly offensive monster of the archetype in the Main Deck. Its flip effect allows it to target another monster on the field, gaining attack equal to the targeted monster's original attack and then changing that monster to face-down defense position. The attack gain, being permanent, allows it to put pressure on the opponent quickly. Its second effect, which decreases the attack of the opponent's monsters by 1000 for each Link monster that points to them, makes it truly dangerous.

Loading... is the only non-flip monster of the archetype. It can be Special Summoned from the hand as long as you control a face-down monster, which allows you to rank climb more easily. Additionally, if a monster is summoned to a zone pointed to by an opponent's Link monster, you can tribute your Loading... to Special Summon a Tindangle monster from your deck or hand in face-up Attack or Defense Position. This allows you to easily summon the monster you need.

Loading... allows you to add a Tindangle card from your deck to your hand when it is flipped. You can therefore add the card you need to extend your combos. When it is Normal Summoned, you can send a Tindangle card from your deck to the graveyard. This allows you, for example, to send Loading... to the Graveyard to activate its effect. Its last effect automatically activates when this card is in the Graveyard and you Special Summon a monster in face-down Defense Position: you Special Summon this card in face-down Defense Position. This effect helps quickly fill your field and enables you to summon your Link monsters rapidly.

Tindangle Delaunay

Loading... is the card that allows Tindangle to exist in the game. Its first effect is not very useful, as it only activates when you take battle damage and have 3 different Tindangle monsters in your Graveyard: you can destroy the attacking monster and then Special Summon your Loading... from your Extra Deck to the field. Its second effect is much more interesting, as it allows you, if you control no monsters in the Extra Monster Zone, to target 3 different Tindangle monsters in your Graveyard and Special Summon them in face-down Defense Position to your field. This effect allows you to set up all the monsters needed for your combo. None of the effects of this card are once per turn, so you can abuse its second effect to protect yourself if your opponent destroys your entire board.

Loading... allows you to send any Spell/Trap from the deck to the Graveyard when flipped. This lets you send cards like Loading... , Loading... , or Loading... to the Graveyard. Additionally, if it is sent from the hand or deck to the Graveyard, it can target a Tindangle monster in the Graveyard to Special Summon it in face-down defense position. This effect makes it a good discard for effects like Loading... or Loading... for example. Its final effect allows a Tindangle Link monster to attack 3 times if Loading... was used as Link material for its Summon.

Loading... is probably the best monster in the archetype for the Main Deck. Its flip effect allows you to add any flip monster from your deck to your hand or send it to the Graveyard. You can choose to add extenders to your hand or send cards like Loading... to the Graveyard. Its other effect allows it to be Special Summoned in face-down Defense Position from the hand by discarding 1 card and sending a Tindangle card from your deck to the graveyard. This effect allows you to easily extend your combos and trigger the effects of your Tindangle monsters in the Graveyard.

Tindangle Protector

Loading... is your main starter. When it is flipped face-up, you can flip as many monsters you control in face-down Defense Position as you want, and then, if all the monsters that were flipped are Tindangle monsters, you can add as many Tindangle cards from your deck to your hand as the number of monsters flipped by this effect. This allows you to gain card advantage extremely quickly at the start of your turn.

Nagel's Protection

Loading... is not a Tindangle card and therefore cannot be added to your hand via your card effects. However, when it is in the graveyard, you can banish it and send a Tindangle card from your hand to the Graveyard to add a Loading... from your deck to your hand. As long as this card is on the field, none of your Tindangle monsters in the Main Zone can be destroyed by battle or by your opponent's card effects. This allows you to stall very easily. Its last effect makes your first attack with a Tindangle monster double the damage your opponent takes, which allows you to finish the duel very easily with Loading... .

Extra Deck

Tindangle Acute Cerberus

Loading... is your deck’s Ace Monster, but it’s clearly not a good card. Its summoning condition (3 Tindangle monsters) makes it unappealing. On top of that, it only gains its 3000 ATK if you have at least 3 different Tindangle monsters in your Graveyard, including Loading... . And even though it can also gain 500 ATK for each Tindangle monster it points to, it still falls short compared to Loading... , which is easier to summon and can reach higher attack more easily. Its effect to place a Tindangle Token on your field during the end of your Battle Phase is also completely useless, as it doesn't help your deck at all.

Skill

This Skill is broken. At the start of your first turn, you must send a Tindangle card or Loading... from your deck to the Graveyard to set Loading... from outside your deck onto your field.

Loading... is a Continuous Spell that allows you to discard a Tindangle card to flip one of your monsters on your field—either from Attack Position to face-down Defense Position or from face-down Defense Position to Attack Position. Since this effect is not once per turn, you can abuse it to trigger as many of your flip effects as possible.

The second effect of your Skill lets you send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, then send up to 2 Tindangle cards or Nagel's Protection from your deck to the Graveyard. When combined with the first effect, you can easily get Tindangle Delaunay + 3 Tindangle monsters into your Graveyard to start your combos.

The final effect allows you, if your opponent controls a monster, to flip all your face-down Tindangle monsters on the field into face-up Defense Position, even if they were set this turn. This lets you play without relying on Loading... .
